It’s easy for societal beauty norms to convince you you’re lacking, whether it’s in curves or inches. You can always be taller or shorter, bigger or smaller. Here are eight short celebrities who prove their tiny height hasn’t stopped them from taking up space and loving every tiny thing about themselves.
Simone Biles – 4’8
For world renown olympian Simone Biles, her short height is ultimately an athletic asset. As the most decorated competitor in the history of her sport, she’s considered to be on the shorter side of female gymnasts. In fact, four of the past five women to win the Olympic all-around gold medal have been at least 5 feet tall. Nonetheless, her miniature stature has lent to an impressive vertical height, complete with leaps, flips and twists.
Lil Kim – 4’11
Lil Kim is your favorite female rapper’s favorite female rapper, yet all her power comes from a compact frame. Her 4’11 height is comparable to popular short celebrities, like Snooki, though she’s never let her fun-sized stature stop her from toughing a big bite.
Jada Pinkett Smith – 4’11
Though host and actress Jada Pinkett Smith is only 4’11, that didn’t stop her from seeking out a tall partner, with husband Will Smith dawning all of 6’2. Their children Willow and Jaden both stand at 5’7 and 5’9, respectively. Jada has been able to contain a mighty spirit within her petite frame, never refraining from speaking up and using her voice.
Kourtney Kardashian – 5’0
Though a few of her siblings lean on the shorter side, eldest sister Kourtney Kardashian is most certainly the tiniest. Standing at 5’0 flat, her sister Kim reigns at only two inches taller than her, while youngest sister Khloe is 5’10. Kourtney has openly accepted her short frame, as well as sharing her earned confidence after gaining 20 pounds following her IVF journey.
Vanessa Hudgens – 5’1
36-year-old Vanessa Hudgens is a singer, actress, and new mom, doing it all within a 5’1 stature.
“Because I’m very petite, I’ve always felt that women who are taller are smarter and more powerful,” said the former Disney star. “I would feel less than because of my size. I see how women who are 5’9 walk into a room, and I am so attracted to the space they take up. But you can take up space without height — with your achievements, points of view, and opinions. Now that I’ve realized I can work through it, I’m like, ‘How do I make myself feel confident?’”
Blac Chyna – 5’2
Angela White, commonly known as Blac Chyna, stands at 5’2. The mother of two, who has been on both a sober journey and a fitness journey, has made it a point to take the best care of her vessel in the latter half of the 30s. Her social media offers a glimpse into her strenuous workouts and weight training regime.
Nicki Minaj – 5’2
Though she undeniably has a big personality, rap queen Nicki Minaj is relatively short, standing at just 5’2. On her hit single “Whip It,” the songstress notes, ”I’m like 5’2, my SAT scores was high too,” one of the few references the New York native has made to her petite frame. It’s one of the many reasons Minaj refers to herself as Barbie.
Zoe Kravitz – 5’2
Zoe Kravitz stands at the same height as her “The Cosby Show” actress mother, Lisa Bonet. But while she and Bonet are both 5’2, father Lenny Kravitz isn’t too far away, standing at 5’9. Her former partner Channing Tatum has made jokes during joint press interviews about Kravitz height, noting that he feels like he can “pick her up and toss her around effortlessly.”
