When it comes to makeup lately, I’ve preferred using fewer products for my everyday routine. It’s less hassle in the morning, and you can still look put together with a few essential items. As I’ve been trying out a more minimal product routine, I’ve discovered a few staples that give me a minimal look I’m going for but still manage to really wow. Here are my favorite tips.
1. Keep your base simple
For base products, I’ve got a great foundation and BB cream that work great alone or mixed. The first one is the Estée Lauder Doube Wear Stay-in-Place Foundation.

I love this one because of how light it is and how quickly it can be blended with other powder foundations to create a stronger finish if that’s what you need.
I like to mix it in with my second option, the Marcelle BB Cream in Golden Glow.

This is another light pick that I think looks lovely for that minimal, “no makeup” makeup because it gives the skin a fresh, dewy glow. When combined, I find that I get an even excellent coverage that helps round out my complexion and make everything look nice and clean.
2. Always Conceal

Now, for concealer: a tremendous minimal product is the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer.
This is one of my go-to concealers because it offers a nice amount of coverage without feeling heavy and cakey. It’s also hydrating, so it’s nice for the under eye area and helps brighten up any circles and cover any fine lines.
3. Lightly Bronze & Highlight

For the rest of the face, I will use Benefit’s "Hoola" to add shape and dimension while not looking too overpowering. This product is great for lightly carving out the cheekbones and adding a bit of warmth. Next, I usually glide on some of the Anastasia Beverly Hills Sugar Glow Kit to my cheeks and brow bone for an all-over glow.
Minimal makeup to me means keeping my eyes nice and straightforward. I’ll brush some Brow Wiz through my brows, and then, I’ll curl my lashes as the last step.
4. Keep the lips hydrated

I like to focus more on hydrating my lips than anything else, so I tend to go for one of my Fresh Sugar Lip Treatments. If I’m keeping everything natural, I’ll use my Lucas PaPaw Oinment. Free of carcinogens and made from pure pawpaw’s, this ointment is great for just the softest hint of color and lots of moisture
