Eight years ago, the world was gifted Urban Decay’s Naked Palette and just this past week, Urban Decay released a video of Nicole Richie reciting an eulogy alongside influencers like Shayla Mitchell and Christen Dominique for their most beloved Naked Palette. While this news is absolutely heartbreaking, there’s a small light at the end of this tunnel — the Naked Palette is being sold for 50% off at all of its retailers.
The palette, which originally retailed for $54 sold over $1 billion dollars throughout its eight year run. It also paved way for other Naked palettes including Naked2, Naked3, Naked Heat and Naked Basics. Urban Decay has also recently discontinued their Naked Smoky palette, however, the departure from their OG Naked palette has left makeup artists, lovers and anyone who enjoys a perfectly curated eyeshadow palette of well-made, cruelty-free makeup.
If you haven’t had a chance to purchase the palette, there’s still time to find them at certain retailers, but just as the palette, you have to purchase them the OG way — by going into the store and buying them. Most retailers have sold out online and are running on low stock in stores as well.
