The 2023 Tony Awards served as actress Uzo Aduba’s baby announcement. The “Orange is the New Black” alum shared with fans that she is expecting a new addition to her family!

Aduba spilled the beans on the award show’s red carpet, prior to the event beginning. She stepped onto the carpet wearing a bright orange Christian Siriano suit ensemble. The actress then proceeded to open her blazer to reveal a well-rounded baby bump. In case the message still wasn’t clear, she cradled her belly to confirm that there is indeed a bun in the oven. She was accompanied by her husband, Robert Sweeting.

In a post on Instagram, Aduba also shared the exciting news.

“What a blessing. My husband Robert and I are so happy to enter this next chapter together as parents,” she shared in the caption. “I am beyond excited. I get to be someone’s Mommy!”

Through the video, fans got a glimpse at Aduba’s joy. The mom-to-be was radiant.

“I know as the three of us continue to grow, our only, ONLY goal will be to love you, little one. My goodness. Look what God has done,” she said.

“For some of us, it can feel like we spend our whole lives waiting for our special someone,” she captioned the post. “My heart, my love — I’m so happy my life started last year with you. You’re the best thing that ever happened to me.”
