When Coi Leray’s name comes up in conversation, it’s usually around her incredible wardrobe full of designer duds, or her complicated relationship with her famous father, Benzino. While she’s praised for being a natural beauty who’s confident in her petite body, it’s rare to see Leray with a consistent partner by her side. In the early years of her rap career, she was boo’d up with Canadian rhymer Pressa, and there was a time when she and Blueface were getting cozy. Besides those flings, the main man in the nepo baby’s life is Trippie Redd, whom she’s reconciled with after their messy 2019 breakup.
Who Is Coi Leray Dating?
When they called things quits the first time, Trippie poured his feelings into a song called “Leray,” writing, “When you got with me, you were a genius / Now without me you have to live life as an idiot.” His ex was given a chance to address the diss on the No Jumper podcast. “At first, no I didn’t like it. It was very like, what the f**k, because I always thought we really had something outside of the music,” the 27-year-old said on the show.
“So I’m just like, damn, If you got something to say let’s get together and say that s**t to my face… I felt like I’m being used for clickbait. He’ll sell out with or without me,” Leray praised her ex. “At that point, I felt like he coulda just called me, you coulda just hit me, DM’d whoever, emailed. You coulda got the message the f**k out there because we’re very connected. You ain’t have to go ‘head and put me down like that in a song.” While she was hurt, the fashionista still managed to compliment Trippie on his ability to express feelings through music. In 2023, she kept the positivity going by name-dropping the Ohio native on her “Isabel Marant” single while bragging about her growth. “Tried to count me out, and now I’m big as Trippie Redd. Woo, I hope I don’t crash,” she raps.
As we inch out of Hot Girl Summer and toward cuffing season, it’s become evident that Coi Leray has a serious crush. “Sleeping on FaceTime, waking up on FaceTime,” she tweeted in early August, suggesting distance is keeping the couple apart. When word got out about her and Trippie’s reunion, Leray loudly addressed critics. “I tweet and exit out this app because, child, it is just too messy in here. Like, nonstop negative s**t on Twitter! Be safe out here,” she wrote. In the weeks since we’ve seen snippets of their time together via social media, which are likely to increase as their romance deepens.
