Rap, fashion, and now acting — is there anything Megan Thee Stallion can’t do? The “Plan B” rapper recently showed off her acting chops in the MCU television series “She-Hulk: Attorney At Law.” And as per usual, she showed up and showed out.
Megan Thee Stallion’s She-Hulk Cameo: She’s Officially in the MCU!
In episode 13, Megan Thee Stallion plays a two-timing Light Elf who shapeshifts into her likeness in a plot to fool She-Hulk’s rival, Dennis Bukowski. And later, the real Megan Thee Stallion shows up in the courtroom, uncovering the entire scheme.
The episode ends with She-Hulk asking Megan The Stallion to sign off on some paperwork. After completing the task, the two engage in a brief twerk session to celebrate as the rapper’s hit song “Body” played in the background.
But the pair weren’t the only ones having a good time. According to social media, many MCU fans were getting their lives too.
And in true ‘Hot Girl’ fashion, the ‘Savage’ rapper revealed that acting is just the beginning. In an interview with The Cut, Megan Thee Stallion says that she plans to explore directing and producing, as well.
She calls Queen Latifah and Ice Cube her inspirations for expanding her horizons. “When I look at them, it inspires me to take it further than just music,” she says. “I don’t feel like I’m only going to be an actress — I feel like I’m also going to be a director and I’m also going to be a producer.”
5 Times the Marvel Cinematic Universe Collided with Hip-Hop
This isn’t the first time the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the hip-hop world collided. And judging by fans’ reactions to the recent Megan Thee Stallion cameo, it certainly won’t be the last. Here are five times the MCU and hip-hop joined forces:

MCU x Wu-Tang Clan

Wu-Tang Clan is a popular hip-hop group comprised of 10 members, including Method Man, Raekwon, and Ghostface Killah. Recognized for their hit songs such as “Protect Ya Neck” and “C.R.E.A.M.”, the group amassed a cult following and is regarded as one of the most influential artists in hip-hop history.
But if you asked members of the group where they get some of their influence from, they might point to MCU. In fact, many of their rap lyrics reference the franchise and its characters. Ghostface Killah even named his debut solo album after one of its most popular superheroes, Ironman.
As for Marvel, the feeling is mutual. Fans can hear a number of Wu-Tang Clan songs in MCU films. For example, their song “Bring da Ruckus” is featured in a “Luke Cage” episode, while “Protect Ya Neck” can be heard in an episode of “The Defenders.”

MCU x Tupac

When the hit film “Black Panther” debuted in theaters, fans couldn’t get enough of the action. From Wakanda-themed music videos to hilarious character memes, the movie was all anyone could talk about.
As a result, Marvel Cinematic Universe decided to give the fans a way to support the movie even further. They announced their partnership with Tupac’s estate to create an exclusive line of apparel inspired by the late rapper and the Marvel universe.
And in November of 2018, they launched Tupac x Black Panther, a nine-piece apparel line of t- shirts, hoodies, hats, and other products. Each item featured rap lyrics and images from the late rapper alongside popular motifs and phrases from “Black Panther.“

MCU x Rae Sremmurd

2014 was a pretty big year for both MCU and hip-hop duo Rae Sremmurd. In 2014, MCU announced actor Chadwick Boseman would assume the role of T’Challa in the film “Black Panther.” And that same year, Rae Sremmurd would debut their hit song “No Flex Zone,” which helped put them on the map.
It was also the year that the two parties would join forces to create an epic cover for MCU’s more diverse “All-New Captain America” series. The issue featured a Black Captain America, the first Black variation of the character in MCU history. Rae Sremmurd’s Slim Jimmy and Swae Lee stood on either side of the captain, posing for the camera as a ‘No Flex Zone’ sign hovered above them.

MCU x Kendrick Lamar

For the 2018 movie “Black Panther,” MCU and Kendrick Lamar teamed up to create a song. But Lamar and “Black Panther” director Ryan Coogler hit it off so well, he asked him to write the entire soundtrack, instead.
In an interview with Hollywood Reporter, music supervisor Dave Jordan says, “He and [director] Ryan Coogler were having a completely different connection than you normally get in those kinds of meetings. They understood each other on a different level.”
The tracklist included popular songs “All The Stars” featuring SZA and “Pray For Me” featuring The Weeknd.
Many other artists were involved in the soundtrack, including Jorja Smith, 2 Chainz, Travis Scott, Future, and Jay Rock. The star-studded album saw much success, with one of its songs “King’s Dead” winning a Grammy award for “Best Rap Performance” in 2019.

MCU x Method Man

“Luke Cage” is a television series that follows ex-con turned crime fighter Luke Cage, a Marvel Comics character. Mike Colter stars as Luke Cage, and alongside him are other popular Black actors including Mahershala Ali and Alfre Woodard. But when one famous rapper made a guest appearance in season one, fans were left wishing he was part of the main cast.
Wu-Tang Clan member, Method Man, debuted as himself in season 1, episode 12 of the series. In the episode, the rapper watches as Luke Cage breaks up a robbery that happens in front of him. After a short exchange, Cage leaves the scene. He also left an impression on the rapper, who composed and performed a song on the show called “Bulletproof Love,” inspired by the superhero.
The series received critical acclaim, and even earned a number of awards. And as for “Bulletproof Love,” Hollywood Music in Media Awards nominated the song for the best “Original Song” in a TV show or limited series.
