Our good sis Ari Lennox is diligently working to deliver an amazing sophomore album for her fans this year. Preparation for this album has been in the works since 2020 and Ari promises fans that it will be released soon. With over 80 songs to choose from we’re sure our R&B queen will deliver a masterpiece that will guide us through summer 2022!

Lennox just recently cut ties with her management team, Black Wax, who has represented her for a decade and she’s stepping into a new era and chapter of her life. Here are 8 reasons why we’re so excited for the album and can’t wait to blast her highly anticipated album over and over again!

1.

It Will Be Released THIS Year

Ari Lennox has made it very clear that her sophomore album will be released this year! She hasn’t revealed a release date yet but promises fans that after she receives three more songs the highly anticipated album will be here.

2.

Key Players

When it comes to creating a bomb album producers and key players are so important! Ari Lennox obviously knows this and has some heavy hitters on her team. She’s been in the studio working with GREATS like Jermaine Dupri, Bryan-Michael Cox, Missy Elliott, Babyface, Johntá Austin and Jai’Len Josey and many more.

3.

Teasers

Ari knew what she was doing when she teased a new song called “Mean Mug.” Safe to say what little snippet we heard was a banger! She’s since removed the track but those who were able to hear it are extremely hopeful for what’s to come on the sophomore album.

4.

Chart Topping Single

With Ari Lennox’s single ‘Pressure’ reaching No. 1 on R&B radio charts and becoming her first lead on any airplay format, we’re confident that all the other songs will follow suit. With nearly 13 million listeners, “Pressure,” produced by Jermaine Dupri, Bryan-Michael Cox, and Elite, earned her a 2022 NAACP Image Award nomination for Outstanding Female Artist.

5.

Live Performances

With things trying to get back to normal more artists are performing live and going on tour. In May, Lennox will headline the Broccoli Festival in her hometown of Washington, D.C. so who knows maybe fans will get a snippet of new music while she’s on stage. It also leaves fans hopeful for tour dates to be announced once she releases the album.

6.

Collaborations

Ari hasn’t disclosed any features on her album. However, from previous work and her well known relationships with fellow R&B artists like Summer Walker, Lucky Daye and Jazmine Sullivan, we’re sure to expect some dope features on the new album.

7.

HBCU Marching Band Recognition

If you attended an HBCU then you know one thing they don’t play about is their band. We all know at football games, halftime is game time because the marching bands put on a show! As an artist if an HBCU band plays your song then you know you’ve made it. Alabama A&M paid tribute to Ari Lennox by showcasing their skills in their rendition of ‘Pressure’ and it brought Ms. Lennox to tears.
