Beyoncé is making Billboard history after wrapping the European leg of her Renaissance World Tour.
The singer has reached No. 1 on the Billboard Top Tours chart — making her the first woman to reach the chart’s top spot since Pink in July 2019.
Since kicking off its European leg on May 10 in Sweden, the Renaissance World Tour has earned $67.5 million and sold 461,000 tickets across its nine May shows.
Those impressive numbers make Beyoncé the top-grossing act of the month.
The show traveled through England, Spain, France, Germany, the Netherlands, and Poland in June. While the North American leg will being on July 8 in Toronto, Canada.
The Renaissance World Tour — which is Beyoncé’s ninth concert tour — has been a hot ticket since Beyoncé announced the show back in February. She has sold out numerous venues for the show and the ticket purchasing process caused quite the buzz.
Over the past few months, the Renaissance World Tour has sparked some viral moments and hilarious memes — including Beyoncé and her daughter Blue’s dance sequence and Beyoncé seemingly getting frustrated with her stage crew.
The stage crew mishap remains one of the most memorable viral moments from the tour so far.
In video footage from the side of the stage, it appears that Beyoncé was telling her stage crew to remove a set of stairs set up beside while she sat on her mirrored horse Reneigh.
At one point in the clip, she even looks to annoyingly mouth “Oh my God!” and kick her heel at the stairs to signal the crew to roll them away.
But it hasn’t been all work as Beyoncé traveled Europe for her tour. She made an appearance at Pharrell’s debut runway show for Louis Vuitton during Paris Fashion Week — sitting beside actress Zendaya during the show.
It was also recently announced that Rowland and Beyoncé are partnering with Harris County officials to create 31 permanent housing units in their home state of Texas.
“Harris County and the city of Houston, jointly with the coalition for the homeless, have reduced homeless in the middle of the pandemic by 20 percent, and we’ve been able to hold that reduction,” Judge Lina Hidalgo said in a press conference on June 27.
“We just did the homeless count again, so it’s initiatives like this one I certainly will be supportive of it no matter whose behind it, but it’s especially interesting, I think, because there are these names of Beyoncé and Kelly Rowland, who, of course, have been supportive of the community for a very long time.”
