Beyoncé’s Renaissance World Tour is coming to an end in September. Before Queen Bey wraps up what has been one of the most impactful tours of 2023, she’s making a birthday request for all remaining attendees; silver fashions. The “Break My Soul” singer took to her Instagram story on Tuesday to issue the request to her fans who will be attending the final stops of the tour during Virgo season.
“Virgo season is upon us,” she wrote in her Instagram story. “This tour has been such a joy and as we approach the last month, my birthday wish is to celebrate with you wearing your most fabulous silver fashions to the shows 8.23 – 9.22.”
Her intention for this request, she says is so she and all attendees will be surrounded in a shimmering human disco ball each night.
“Everybody mirroring each other’s joy. Virgo season together in the house of chrome. See you there!” Beyoncé wrote.
The Metallic Storm
The Renaissance World Tour has had a major impact since its European start. Along with birthing countless memes from moments on the tour, it has also inspired a wave of silver and metallic fashion pieces. Many fans attending the show have chosen to rock metallic looks that align with the Renaissance aesthetic.
In May, the fashion site Nasty Gal reported that Google searches related to the Renaissance tour peaked. Just after the first night of the tour, keywords such as “metallic cowboy boots” went up by 488 percent. Since the commencement of the tour, Queen Bey has rocked a wide range of metallic numbers on stage. She has interpreted them in various ways, using them as corsets, bodysuits, boots, hats, accessories and even stage props. Other Google searches that spiked since the tour’s start include those for “silver bodysuit” and “silver corset.”
