Beyoncé might have a gift for fans. The visuals for her seventh studio album, “Renaissance,” is reportedly on the way. According to Above The Line, a source revealed that the visual album is complete but “remains in limbo.”
“It’s a visual album movie, but it’s like an art film, and I’ve also heard it’s better than ‘Black Is King,'” said the source.
The source explained that studios and viewers saw the project several months ago but passed at that time.
They believe the project hasn’t sold yet because of “the price and lack of replay value for the casual viewer.” The source also suggested that “maybe Beyoncé didn’t like how it turned out. I don’t know…”
Above The Line reported that the visual album was directed by Nadia Lee Cohen, a rising British filmmaker behind Tyler the Creator, A$AP Rocky, Katy Perry, Kali Uchis, and major brands including Adidas, Balenciaga, Gucci, and Valentino.
Beyoncé took the helm in co-directing her first visual album, “Lemonade.” Initially available on Jay-Z’s Tidal platform in April 2016, it later graced HBO and secured four Emmy nominations. But she didn’t stop there. The singer wrote, directed, and was the executive producer of her second visual album, “Black Is King,” which premiered on Disney+ on July 31, 2020.
Bey-Day in Los Angeles
“Bey-Day” is quickly approaching in Los Angeles, California. As a part of her “Renaissance Tour,” the “HEATED” singer will play at three sold-out shows at the SoFi Stadium.
And one thing that makes this stop special is it’ll be the singer’s 42nd birthday! Beyoncé recently posted a birthday request for the remaining tour attendees on her Instagram story.
“Virgo season is upon us,” she said in her Instagram story. “This tour has been such a joy and as we approach the last month, my birthday wish is to celebrate with you wearing your most fabulous silver fashions to the shows 8.23 – 9.22! We’ll surround ourselves in a shimmering human disco ball each night.”
“Everybody mirroring each other’s joy. Virgo season together in the house of chrome,” she continued.
She ended her post by letting her fans know she would see them at the show.
