So, you pulled an all-nighter binge-watching the latest season of Power. Or maybe you just finished that homework assignment you have been procrastinating for the last week.

Whatever the reason, your skin is probably paying the price for your decision the next day. Battling a dull, tired complexion the following day is never a good time, but luckily, there is a solution. As long as you have the right tools, you can give your face an instant refresh in no time.

Here is how you revive a tired complexion:

1. Hydrate your face

A tired complexion is usually lacking in hydration, so reach for products that pack a big punch when it comes to moisture. Before applying makeup, I love using the FENTY BEAUTY BY RIHANNA Pro Filt'r Instant Retouch Primer because it’s a built-in moisturizer and primer in one, and it always gives my skin a beautiful matte finish.

Other great tools to instantly moisturize your face are rose water or grape-based beauty elixirs that can give your skin the moisture it has been craving. My favorite brands are the MARIO BADESCU Facial Spray With Aloe, Herbs and Rosewater and CAUDALIE Beauty Elixir Mini

2. Accentuate certain areas with a highlight

I find that when you are trying to hide a tired face, it's best to highlight the right areas. A soft glow, to the tops of the cheekbones, helps give an instant facelift. I’m a huge fan of Anastasia Beverly Hills highlighters because they’re super creamy and high quality. I also love using the BOBBI BROWN Shimmer Brick Highlighter Mini for an instant champagne glow. You can also use this to add a bit of light above the brow bone and across the bridge of your nose.

3. Focus on the eyes

It sucks, but yes eyes can be a dead giveaway that you're majorly lacking sleep, so I try to focus a lot of my time on them. First, I like to use a lovely brightening shade all over the lid to wake the eyes up. The FENTY BEAUTY BY RIHANNA Snow Daze & Snow Nights Frosted Metal Lipstick 3-pc Set is a winter favorite because it’s got three playful shades that can warm the eyes up nicely. I use the pencils to cover my whole lid or to fill in the waterline so my eyes can pop.

Finally, a volumizing and curling mascara is a must. So pick your favorite and apply a coat or two, or three. Can’t hurt, right?
