Tori Bowie, a three-time Olympic medalist, spent a lot of her time playing basketball while growing up in Mississippi and has said that it is her first love. Despite her first love, Bowie became the fastest woman in the world in track and field and won a gold medal in 2017’s 100-meter dash at the World Athletics Championship in London. Bowie’s speed is impressive and so is her flawless skin. In a recent interview with Essence, Bowie shared her secrets to great skin and we’ve got our shopping carts ready!

Bowie told Essence that she feels more prepared whenever she does her makeup before a race — it feels like it’s a part of her uniform. On race days, Bowie’s prep includes waterproof mascara, eyeliner, lipstick and powder to ensure she crosses that finish line with a beautifully beat face. She also gave a lot of credit to Aveeno facial scrub and tea tree oil to keep her from breaking out.

For the Olympic medalist, self-care is a practice she participates in daily. She enjoys taking time to take care of her skin and hair as well as taking time to train. She sticks to a strict diet and is always well-hydrated, which not only helps with her races but her skin too. The 27-year-old is big on "embracing the sweat" while she trains and works out, she told Essence

Bowie has appeared in a Valentino ad campaign, New York Fashion Week this past February and recently raced a 200-meter dash at Grenada Invitational where she was glowing all the way to the finish line.

Her impressive career highs aside, she also shared with Essence that she’s a fan of Fenty Beauty's inclusive makeup line

"It’s hard to find powder and things for my skin tone," says Bowie. "I look at Rihanna’s collection, and I’m always in awe because there’s a shade that exists for every skin tone."
