Drake’s love life has been the source of much speculation and controversy over the course of his career. The rap mega-star has infused much of his music with a deeply romantic sound, and even gave himself the nickname of Certified Lover Boy with a corresponding album title in 2021. Over the course of his decades-spanning career, Drake has held a number of famous girlfriends, though the 37-year-old Scorpio has never been publicly engaged nor married. Specifically, the question of who Drake is dating has garnered great traction in recent months due to his brutal rap feud with Kendrick Lamar, who levied some very serious accusations about Drake’s moral character in tracks such as “Meet The Grahams” and “Not Like Us.”

The “One Dance” rapper has had flings which include notable names like Rihanna, Serena Williams, Jennifer Lopez, and perhaps even Kylie Jenner. Drake’s high-profile dating history has resulted in him taking on a reputation as a notorious womanizer. So, let’s look into whom, if anyone, is currently dating Drake, and see if we can uncover the nature of his personal relationships as they exist today.

Drake May Be Dating Latto’s Sister

Drake tends to make a big spectacle out of his dates, frequently posting them on social media outlets such as Instagram when he isn’t beaten to the punch by the awaiting paparazzi. His most recent fling as of this writing included a March 2024 outing alongside the younger sister of Atlanta rapper Latto. The woman, whose name is Brooklyn Nikole, was seen stepping out of a restaurant arm-in-arm with Drake, followed by an entourage. The event was filmed by someone in the restaurant, likely an employee of the establishment or a fellow patron, before making the rounds on social media.

While Drake got into a little bit of hot water for courting Nikole, who is only 21-years-old, it’s not that surprising that the pair might be dating. After all, Nikole’s older sister Latto has long been romantically tied to frequent Drake collaborator 21 Savage, meaning the pair could have bumped into each other at any number of social events.

Brooklyn Nikole has not publicly spoken about her history with Drake, though the rapper seemingly referenced her stunning features on wax shortly after their date. The vocalist took to a remix of 4batz’s “act ii: date @ 8” to rap, “How you get all of that body and face, though? What kinda water they servin’ in ClayCo?” in a clear reference to Nikole’s home of Clay County, Georgia.

He May Actually Be Single

While it seemed clear that Drake was pursuing Brooklyn Nikole for a relationship back in March, the “Hotline Bling” artist has not been seen with her since. It’s entirely possible that the pair are currently pursuing a quiet, under the radar relationship, though it’s equally possible that Drake is currently single. Drake’s social media channels haven’t exactly been business as usual since March, however, as his feud with Kendrick Lamar has become a focal point of his year. The beef officially kicked off on March 22 with the release of Future and Metro Boomin’s joint album We Don’t Trust You, which included the scathing Drake diss “Like That.” Still, Drake recently bowed out of the beef by removing all traces of his Kendrick Lamar diss tracks from Instagram, and has yet to share any new updates about Brooklyn – or any other woman.

As far as the fans can tell, Drake may not be highlighting the women in his life right now for one of two reasons. On one hand, he could be fully single and not actively looking for a relationship, especially as he rounds out his massive “Big As The What” tour, which concluded in April. On the other hand, it may be a prudent chess move for the rapper to keep anyone close to him away from the spotlight as he tangles with the likes of Kendrick and other artists, for fear that they could catch verbal strays by association. His mother, father, and young son were specifically name-checked throughout the beef, meaning it’s not out of the realm of possibility that Brooklyn could also have gotten dragged into the feud.

Drake Doesn’t Tend To Stay Single For Long

Now that the dust has settled on the rap civil war, perhaps Drake will return to his usual methods in the coming weeks, and continue making public appearances with his romantic partners. Whether this means the fans will see more of Brooklyn and Drake together remains to be seen, though the 21-year-old has been frequently active on social media in recent weeks, mostly sharing info about her sister’s upcoming tour schedule. Regardless of how it all shakes out, the entertainment news outlets and media journalists will certainly be quick to report on who Drake is dating, just as soon as more info reaches the public.

Drake and SZA are Under the Microscope After Her Superbowl Appearance

From 2008-2009, Drake and SZA apparently dated for a short but undisclosed amount of time, something Drake didn’t reveal until much later in his career – 2020, to be exact. In October of that year, Drake dropped Mr. Right Now with Metro Boomin and 21 Savage. In it, he explicitly states that he and SZA used to be an item.

“Yeah, said she wanna f**k to some SZA, wait / ‘Cause I used to date SZA back in ’08.”

SZA later confirmed this in a Twitter post, albeit with a bit of light humor regarding his giving the incorrect year. “So it was actually 2009 lol. In this case a year of poetic rap license mattered. Lol I think he just innocently rhymed 08 w wait [sic].” She added, “it’s all love all peace,” implying things ended amicably. She also clarified that she didn’t want anyone to think there was “anything underage or creepy” going on between her and Graham. Though this was posted in 2020, it would become especially relevant after Kendrick publicly deemed Drake a pedophile in 2024.

It doesn’t seem like everything was roses between SZA and Drake, though. She would go on to call him a womanizer, likening him to Regina George from Mean Girls. In an interview with Audacity, she states: “I feel like Drake has a Regina George quality to him where it’s just kind of like, ‘Have you or anyone you know been personally victimized?’ He’s like a cool kid, you know. When you’re the popular kid in school, it’s entertaining. It’s entertaining, but you sometimes are taking losses in the midst of that entertainment. The honesty, I respect that. But I definitely laughed real hard…I cackled.”

SZA Gets Involved (Against Her Will)

It wasn’t until April of 2024 that SZA would get dragged into the infamous beef between Drake and Kendrick Lamar. In “Push Ups,” one of Drake’s diss tracks toward K-Dot, he mentions that SZA is more deserving of a spot in rap’s “Big 3” than Kendrick. SZA seemed bewildered by her inclusion, posting a video of NeNe Leakes of Real Housewives of Atlanta fame to her Instagram. In the clip, Leakes is saying “Now why am I in this? You see how I get thrown into this? I ain’t even did nothing.”

Fast-forward to November of 2024, where it seems SZA has decided which side of the beef she’s on; she’s featured on not one, but two tracks on GNX, Kendrick’s first album after he spectacularly won the feud. Her additions can be heard on “Gloria” and “luther.” Finally, SZA performed at the Super Bowl halftime show — next to Kendrick.

So, while she was Drake’s girlfriend briefly, it does seem that SZA not only has some misgivings about that time of her life, but she has thoroughly left it as part of her past.
