Who runs Coachella? Girls.
The first weekend of the Coachella Valley Music And Arts Festival has come to a close but we can’t stop talking about the women who graced the stage and their stellar performances.
In case you missed it, don’t worry – we’ve got you covered with all you need to know!
First up is Meg Thee Stallion.
Meg Thee Stallion gave a headline-worthy performance as she took on her Coachella set – which was also her first time hitting the stage at the festival. The “Flamin’ Hottie” performed her viral hits “Body,” “WAP,” “Thot Shit,” “Savage,” and “Hot Girl Summer.” But the moment that really lit the stage ablaze was when Meg debuted an unreleased diss track.

Fans immediately speculated that the diss was aimed at an ex – largely assuming one by the name of Tory Lanez. And although Meg has not yet confirmed who it’s pointed at, we know that she’s more than excited to officially release it.

Meg’s style of bravado and performance of the diss song was so buzzworthy that it immediately drew connection to OG female rap-stress, Lil Kim; whose name soon thereafter, began trending on Twitter.

Next up, Doja Cat.
Doja Cat also hit the stage at Coachella and impressed fans with back to back surprises. Outside of performing tracks off her last album, “Planet;” she also debuted an upcoming single which samples “Hound Dog” by Elvis Presley, (which originally samples “Hound Dog” by Big Mama Thornton and The Harlem Stars).
And also brought out fellow artist, Rico Nasty, for a full-circle performance of their single “Tia Tamera.” You may remember that back in 2019, Rico actually brought Doja out on the Coachella stage for a performance of the song.

Doja then ended her set by bringing out fellow rapper, Tyga. And the pair performed their collaboration, “Juicy.”

The City Girls, of course.
Rappers JT and Yung Miami, better known as the City Girls, hit the stage at Coachella ready to perform their singles “Twerkulator,” “Act Up,” and “Where The Bag At.” The duo also brought the energy to another level when they brought out Moneybagg Yo, who performed his single, “Said Sum.”

But perhaps the moment that really stole the show for the City Girls was Diddy’s appearance at the bottom of the stage. The fifty two-year-old is reportedly dating Yung Miami, and didn’t miss the opportunity to show some support for his rumored boo.

And paid homage to the legendary Beyoncé. Lennox used her vocals for her own rendition of Bey’s 2006 single, “Kitty Kat.”
