Savannah James Checks Lebron: Why She's the G.O.A.T.

Savannah James is trending again. And as always, fans are in stitches over why. Her hilarious back and forth with hubby Lebron James is another example of why many fans call them #relationshipgoals.

Earlier this week, Lebron James took to social media to show off his new OOTD. In the Instagram video, he wore a green tracksuit to promote his collaboration with Nike. But instead of admiring his ‘fit, Savannah James had other plans.

She tries to initiate a conversation about their vow renewal, asking, “What we doing about that vow renewal? Is it happening or nah?”

But Lebron, distracted with getting the perfect camera angle, replies, “What we doing about what? We could do whatever you want, boo boo. Whatever you want to do.”

The camera then pans over to a side-eyeing Savannah. She looks comfortable, wearing a baggy tee and sweat pants with her hair pulled back into a bun. But she decides she is TOO comfortable for the ‘gram, warning her husband not to show her on camera.

He reassures her, saying, “I’m not [on Instagram ] Live. I was showing off my sweatsuit, but you want to talk about vows. So we could do whatever you want. I would love to talk about our vows.”

But Savannah knows better. She turns to see that Lebron was, in fact, recording. And before he could give a proper sign-off, the video cuts off, with fans joking that Savannah knocked the phone out of his hand. In any case, it’s probably safe to say that Lebron and Savannah James discussed renewal vows.

Sure, Savannah James is the wife of a billionaire athlete. But she has proven to be much, much more than that. Instead, she is a mother, businesswoman, and the glue that holds her family together. Here are five reasons why Savannah James is a queen both on- and offline:

Savannah James is most definitely a beautiful woman. And even though she is undoubtedly busy as a wife, mother, AND businesswoman, she still manages to keep up with her appearance.

In early 2022, Savannah nearly broke the internet after she debuted a new look in an Instagram post. In the photo, fans can see her wearing a little black dress that shows off her curves as a mustard yellow jacket drapes over her shoulder. Her sleek brown hair is parted to the side — a simple, classic hairstyle. And she tops off her look with gold earrings, rings, and necklaces.

She beckons her husband, captioning the post, “Wassup baby, take me out to dinner… 😂😂 #DateNightVibes🖤”

And, of course, King James is never one to turn down a good time. He replies, “AYO!!!! But you know what SAY LESS let’s ride!! ❤️❤️❤️”

She Dodged Lebron, At First

Before the couple became #relationshipgoals, they were just high school acquaintances. And when a mutual friend told Savannah that Lebron was interested in her, she quickly declined.

She recalls the moment in an interview with Cleveland Magazine. She jokes, “I’m like, ‘Um, nope, I’ll take his number.'”

But later, boredom struck, and she decided to revisit the idea. She laughs, “One day, I’m sitting around — I was probably bored or something — and I’m like ‘Oh, I forgot! I have this number for this guy that I can call. He seemed interested, so let’s see.'”

Fortunately, her decision to make a move would change their lives forever.

Savannah James Is A Natural Hair Guru

Savannah James can pull off pretty much any look, as evidenced by her red carpet and social media styles. And when it comes to natural hair, the billionaire wife can teach us a few things.

Luckily, she DOES show off her hairstyling skills on social media. And her daughter, Zhuri, is proof that mama certainly knows best.

She set the internet ablaze with her charming YouTube video about fun, natural hairstyles for children. In the video, Savannah explains how she styles and maintains her daughter’s very long hair to fans.

And in 2021, Savannah captured her daughter’s waist-length locks in an Instagram post captioned “Spring time trim.”

And A Philanthropist

Savannah James is all about philanthropy. In 2004, she and her husband started the Lebron James Foundation to provide educational tools, resources, and opportunities to underprivileged children and youth in Akron, Ohio.

But even though she helps to manage the foundation, she also manages other projects of her own. For example, her mentorship program, “Women of Our Future,” helps provide academic support to young girls. Plus, she started the “I PROMise Makeover,” an annual event that provides prom dresses and makeovers to teen girls as they head to prom.

Regarding her mission for the project, she says, “Having grown up in Akron, I know what it’s like to face insecurities, to second guess myself. Like every young teenage girl, I’ve had those moments of doubt. That is why I established my annual I PROMise Makeover, which remains one of my favorite days of the year. To see the girls’ faces light up with excitement and confidence is what fuels my passion. That is the reason I’m here. They are my purpose.”

When it comes to her family, Savannah James doesn’t mess around.

Whether she’s gushing over her husband in an interview or posting her children on social media, Savannah James knows how to build a successful family empire.

And King James certainly would agree. In an interview with the Hollywood Reporter, he admits that he wouldn’t be where he is today without her.

And in 2018, she ranked at the top of Cleveland Magazine’s “Most Interesting People.” In an interview with the magazine, she discussed her family and parenting style, including some encouraging words for her children.
